Saturn, the Ringed Planet

Posted by
Michael Skorulski (Toronto, Canada) on 10 September 2016 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

My latest Saturn. Taken through a telescope in front of my apartment in Saudi Arabia. Saturn is 1.2 billion kilometers from Earth. Those rings if seen directly edge on would almost disappear because they are only 16 feet (5 meters) thick and are made up of dust, rock and ice from particle size to house size.
