Star Trails over the Rooftop

Posted by
Michael Skorulski (Toronto, Canada) on 4 September 2016 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

A very long night exposure results in star trails. The direction, North and Polaris, the north star would be the area which is the center of the circular motion, half way down near the left edge. The star, Polaris is a fixed point referenced by sailors and astronomers for millennia. Actually Polaris is a binary system meaning it is actually two stars, an amazing sight to see through a telescope.

@Devi: I sleep poorly. So this is a perfect hobby for someone like me. There is a circular motion centered on Polaris, the north star half way down the left edge. Thanks, Devi.
