A dune buggy and the branches of a strangler fig tree, a common tree growing in sand dunes around Cabo Sao Roque, the closest place in Brazil to Africa.
Nature and technology : so different shapes and colors !

Nature would eat the buggy up! Did you watch <AFTER THE PEOPLE>?

@Japanalia: Yes, I have seen that. I agree with you. It is comforting to know that wise nature will always take over. Thanks, Gabriela.
Those dune buggies seem to be a good way to zip around. A good looking shot.

@Pierre: Thanks, Pierre. Your observation helped me to improve the photo.
The image and the fig are both well named. It does seem the dune buggy could be in trouble. ;D

@Judy aka L@dybug: Yes, the car would be engulfed if left there for say, ten years. Would be an interesting experiment. Thanks, Judy.
the roots of the fig are enormous, the magnificent tree makes the buggy look silly and fragile...

Now the tree roots are bigger than the dune buggy! I think you just have small dune buggys there ;) Teasing you!
10 Sep 2010 1:17pm
@Dutçh: You're right. They are actually quite small. Thanks, Dutch.
A nice cute looking buggy, and a big contrast to that strange old tree.
