Winter bloom

Posted by
Michael Skorulski (Toronto, Canada) on 26 January 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Flowers like this have been growing in our compound in Jubail, Saudi Arabia all winter. The lowest temperature I recorded was 5C early one morning and during the day it hovers around 20C.

This is so beautiful, not a perfect, unblemished flower which makes it a better photo, I think.
