SighPosted by Michael Skorulski (Cigel, Slovakia) on 31 December 2008 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. Venice's famous Bridge of Sighs, bizarrely turned into part of a giant advertisement for Lancia automobiles. The city fathers certainly need to raise money for improvements. But this seemed like going a tad far. The bridge is so named because condemned criminals sighed as they were dragged from the courts across this bridge to be executed. Their view out from this bridge was the last they saw. Tomorrow we will see that view.
