Low bridgePosted by Michael Skorulski (Cigel, Slovakia) on 19 December 2008 in Transportation and Portfolio. Some of the bridges in Venice, Italy are very low and must be impassable during a flood. You can see how boats with high loads have squeezed under them marking and taking off some of the masonry.

Marion from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaMaybe the people that built the bridges were really really short. Still very impressive structures and I love the composition and framing of this picture Michael. 19 Dec 2008 6:33am @Marion: Thanks, Marion. I think they were built for low flat barges to go underneath. sherri from Little Rock, Arkansas, United StatesGorgeous colors on that bridge. It has the appearance of being too low, but I realize it's not. Beautiful image. 19 Dec 2008 6:34am Lynne's Somewhat Invented Life from United StatesHow jealous am I?
