Camel race

A camel race in Saudi Arabia. The camels are ridden by young African boys. The spectators don't just stand and watch the race. They follow the race in their cars as we did. This kicks up a lot of dust and excitement.

I can't imagine how the boys and the cars 'handle' all that dust. The camels must have 'built-in' filtering, but that dust must raise havoc with the cars' engines ... and how about the humans?
Your perspective is wonderful and you've shown how the dust builds between you and the mountains.

What an interesting photo. Thanks for showing the world things they will never see themselves. i guess that is true for all photos but this one was particularly interesting. i have a fondness for Camels, I don't know why. Maybe because I have alwasy pictured the Three Wise Men traveling by camel to see the Christ Child.

I thought is was a race the moment I saw the snap. Great capture and I really like the expression on the boy's face as he comes towards the camera.

Super shot...you've really captured the excitement, but more than that, the slight apprehension and pride of the boy on the camel (that's what I see anyway). I love the yellows in this too.
