Cliff cascadePosted by Michael Skorulski (Cigel, Slovakia) on 6 November 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. The Amalfi Coast in Italy looking toward the town of Positano. It has been called the most beautiful coastline in Europe. Traveling along the narrow winding roads that skirt the coast is a stimulating and sometimes frightening experience with sheer cliffs plunging to the sea far below. A rating on VFXY would be much appreciated.

Well done :) 6 Nov 2008 8:53am Judy from Brooksville-Florida,, United StatesI look at this and MARVEL at those who carved flat places and then built all those villas. In that whole photo, there is only one tiny road visible (at least to me) ... just an incredible capture, Michael. 6 Nov 2008 11:24am @Judy: Thanks, Judy. The one main road with an arched bridge is obscured by a heat haze. I marvel also that this whole area is an earthquake zone around volcano, Mount Vesuvius.. Ron from Saint Louis, United StatesTruly amazing, Michael ... a lovely cascading composition ... it has a "storybook" quality about it ... I suppose many tales could be told of life along this beautiful coastline. 6 Nov 2008 11:49am @Ron: I've never been in a place like it to stimulate the imagination. thanks, Ron. dobbino from Cape Town, South AfricaWhat an incredible photo!
