Old man of NocellePosted by Michael Skorulski (Cigel, Slovakia) on 31 October 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. My wife and I hiked for three hours along the Path of the gods, 650 meters (2,000 feet) up on mule tracks above the Amalfi Coast, Italy. Finally we arrived at the village of Nocelle, clinging to the edge of the cliffs. It was all stairs and rocky alleyways. No one was around in the heat of the day. Suddenly we spotted this elderly man making his way up the stairs with one stick. He seemed as surprised to see us as we were to see him. We didn't see anyone else in the village.
