Ball blowerPosted by Michael Skorulski (Cigel, Slovakia) on 27 October 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. This man on the backstreets of Manama, Bahrain was blowing up beach balls one meter in diameter when I walked by. The balls were to be hung above the street for decoration. It was hot work in the 40C temperature.

Elaine- from Vancouver, Canadavery cool portrait, like the processing too... he doesn't even look like he's sweating 27 Oct 2008 5:48am cat from Tel Aviv, IsraelI like the focus on his face, and great crop too. It's very simple but it works very well - the sense of concentration and the heat really come across. It does sound like hard work on such a hot day. 27 Oct 2008 7:38am Betty from New Jersey, United StatesFantastic details in his face, great portrait! This processing is done by applying a High Pass filter, then colorizing in Saturation and finally by applying noise. His hair, glistening face and intent eyes are so well displayed. 27 Oct 2008 10:41am kiji from valenciennes, FranceTerrific job!
