Steve Rice from Olympia, United StatesGreat B&W treatment here. Lovely shot in all respects. 5 Aug 2008 5:10am @Steve Rice: Thanks so much, Steve. @Zygene: Merci, Zygene. dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, United Statesooh -- i do love this shot -- remember it quite well in color too! :) quite psychedelic in b/w i think... the textures make some marvelous patterns that don't stand out as well in color! of course i will always be color bent, color lover that i am! :) but a beautiful photo all the same! 5 Aug 2008 5:30am @dj.tigersprout: A great comment which I really appreciate. thank you, Jaycee. Marion from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaGorgeous in b&w. Ansel Adams eat your heart out!! Seriously, this is really well done. 5 Aug 2008 5:56am @Marion: That's a really nice compliment. thank you, Marion. Kylie Greenan from Richmond, AustraliaI love the effect here Michael, something sketchilike about it, I like this b&w version the best! Fabulous! 5 Aug 2008 6:04am @Kylie Greenan: Thank you, Kylie. i appreciate that. Erik from Amersfoort, NetherlandsVery cool choice for the B&W, it blends so well with the whole shot.. 5 Aug 2008 6:19am @Erik: Thanks so much, Erik. Calusarus from St Sorlin en Valloire, FranceGreat B&W. A nice idea for these flowers… 5 Aug 2008 6:28am @Calusarus: Thank you, Calusarus. MadScientist from Düsseldorf, GermanyA very good B/W conversion! (But I prefer the colour version - sunflowers just have to be yellow! :-) 5 Aug 2008 7:59am @MadScientist: Thank you very much, MS. Mirko Herzner from Mühlheim am Main, GermanyBack and forth, back and forth... I like the colored version better too here. Even if your black & white processing is really good I miss the intensity of colors. Maybe I should not have made the comparison ;-) 5 Aug 2008 8:39am @Mirko Herzner: Thank you, Mirko. I didn't put the date of the colored so comparisons would not be made so much. @Cia: Thank you, Cia. @Marie Le Corre: Merci, Marie. António Pires from Lisbon, PortugalGood photo. By coincidence, in the last week-end I drove along some sunflowers fields with this look of end of season. I didn't take any photo because the flowers weren't in their youth (wrong reason) and because it was almost 40 ºC. But I'm glad you did it. 5 Aug 2008 10:51am @António Pires: A delightful story you offer. thank you, António. Ron from Saint Louis, United StatesTerrific B&W work, Michael ... the B&W works well here, I think, because it focuses one's attention on the whole rather than the few ... lovely composition (as always)!! 5 Aug 2008 11:04am @Ron: A great comment. thank you, Ron. Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomTremendously sharp image. In monochrome it gives a somewhat surreal mood to the image, whilst in color it would be seen in its natural state. Eitherway, perfection. 5 Aug 2008 11:24am @Observing: That is a kind comment, Mike. thank you. Koushiro~光子郎 from Singapore, SingaporeReally great development of such a sad scene... They all look so unhappy 5 Aug 2008 11:26am @Koushiro~光子郎: Just natural decay I think. thank you, Koushiro. Evelyne Dubos from Le Mans, FranceUn très beau rendu du noir et blanc, très net et très contrasté, belle photo. 5 Aug 2008 11:56am @Evelyne Dubos: Merci beaucoup, Evelyne. Peter Miller from Lichfield, United KingdomThis works well in mono, almost ethereal 5 Aug 2008 12:43pm @Peter Miller: Thank you very much, Peter. Lorraine from CanadaYet they are still so lovely, forlorn, sad and beautiful...La Nature Morte is always exquisite :) 5 Aug 2008 2:17pm @Lorraine: I agree. thanks so much, Lorraine. @sherri: Many thanks, Sherri. I appreciate that. Marcie from United StatesLove the b & w processing. It adds a whole other dimension. Really nice. 5 Aug 2008 3:10pm @Marcie: Thanks so much, Marcie. @Veronelle: Merci, Veronelle. @alla: Gothic. thanks, alla. @ManuelaR: That's very kind. thank you, Manuela.
