Walking the plankPosted by Michael Skorulski (Cigel, Slovakia) on 21 June 2008 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. Tourists and Venetians going about their business on raised walkways during a high-tide flood. The high tides which inundate Venice are common. If you meet another overweight person coming the other way, you are usually forced to push them off. It's you or them! (Just kidding! There are separate walkways going the other way.)

Rags from Plano, United StatesThe people seem so used to the water. What is the woman doing in the water? Did she fall into into it? 21 Jun 2008 5:19am @Rags: Probably getting off to go to a shop or house! thanks, Rags. Marion from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaYou gave me quite a giggle Michael. That is really hilarious, well the thought of it anyway. It appears that the woman at the very end may have been pushed off. ;D. Great shot. 21 Jun 2008 5:32am @Marion: Possibly.
