Ganymede and the eaglePosted by Michael Skorulski (Cigel, Slovakia) on 23 May 2008 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. A statue of Ganymede and an eagle graces the waterfront of Zurich, Switzerland. In Greek mythology, Ganymede, the most handsome of humans, was kidnapped by Zeus, in the form of an eagle, to be cupbearer to the gods and Zeus's beloved.
