@dillonpic: Thank you, Dillon. Marion from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaThat will keep their hair out of their eyes for awhile. Great interest picture. 15 May 2008 5:43am @Marion: Thanks so much, Marion. dailyphotosofmaalé from Maalé, Maldivesvery cool 15 May 2008 6:06am @dailyphotosofmaalé: Glad you noticed that. thank you, dpm. Mandy from Johannesburg, South AfricaVery cool Michael...I love the look on the young man's face he look sso totally bored with life!! hahaha. Lovely natural shot 15 May 2008 6:32am @Mandy: Thank you, Mandy. I enjoyed your comment. givethemhell from GermanyIts practical, they needn't wash their hair any more. LOL. 15 May 2008 7:13am @givethemhell: I didn't know this. thank you, Eva. Illuci from Hurdegaryp, NetherlandsYou caught very well their bored face expression! Oh, how they suffer by having to wait and nothing to do for a while! They can't even chat because then their heads will be moving. Good shot! 15 May 2008 8:14am @Illuci: A great comment. Thank you, Erik. Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanYes....a good street capture!I don't think that the two are bored, I believe they are impatient!(Even if I were younger, I wouldn't have my hair tortured that way!) 15 May 2008 8:48am @Japanalia: I think they are just relaxed and passive in the way people are in a barber's or hairdresser's. Thank you, Gabriela. MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomI love the way the two people are glancing sideway's at one another, it seems to suggest, that it was the girls idea to have this done and the guy gave in reluctantly. It can take quite a time to braid a full head of hair, so he was probably in for quite a time :) It has the advantage that the hair doesn't have to be washed and it keeps it tidy, but at the end of their journey, they could have a lot less hair than they started out with, the hair is put under pressure and sometimes, the braided hair will, just break off near the scalp :) Sorry I'm rambling now, lol :D back to the photograph. 15 May 2008 9:07am @MaryB: Thank you for the added expert information, Mary and I'm glad the photo has stimulated speculation. @angel: Thank you, Angel. Observing from Chester, United KingdomHi Michael, very nice shot of local life. I imagine the 'Hair-do' is expensive, and that makes me quite happy with my cropped head which I've had for 30 years :) 15 May 2008 9:19am @Observing: Probably a little cheaper in Bangkok than in the West but still pricey. Thank you, Mike. @Teresa Durães: Thanks so much, Teresa. @Betty: Thank you, Betty. @Zoinks: Thank you for visiting. Ina from Krugersdorp, South AfricaVery nice shot :} I think it must be sore after a while. 15 May 2008 12:26pm @Ina: I've heard it could be damaging for the hair as well. Thank you, Ina. @Wizened Eye: Very much so, Thank you, WE. Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaBrilliant shot Michael LOL I don't know what I like the most, the hairdressers at work, the tentative look - the I'lll look at anything but you of the young 'clients' or just the sheer beauty of the 'moment' you 'captured' it's a FANTASTIC PHOTOGRAPH ;) 15 May 2008 12:44pm @Lorraine: That's a great and generous comment. thank you, Lorraine. Ron from Saint Louis, United StatesAnother great street scene ... tells a tale without words! 15 May 2008 12:45pm @Ron: Thanks so much, Ron. Koushiro~光子郎 from Singapore, SingaporeTheir new hairstyles look way cool! I like the way they're making eyes are each other ^^ Although i can't exactly believe the guy's hair is long enough to be braided? 15 May 2008 12:46pm @Koushiro~光子郎: many thanks, Koushiro. Steven from Chicagoland, United StatesNice colors captured here.
