Beach pavilionPosted by Michael Skorulski (Cigel, Slovakia) on 3 May 2008 in Architecture and Portfolio. Jubail, Saudi Arabia - I was looking for a place to kite landboard on the beach when I came across these pavilions facing out to sea. They had grass in front. The Saudis have picnics in them.

I would have imagined Saudi Arabia to be all brown and yellow sand desert. But lo and behold, there is green. 3 May 2008 12:05pm @givethemhell: Yes, the green is there because hardy grass has been planted and has a regular water supply. Thanks, Eva. Chris from South Jersey, United StatesGreat composition and the coloring is very surreal - well done!! 3 May 2008 12:08pm @Chris: Thank you, Chris. Tracey from White Hall, United StatesInteresting, I have never thought about replacing the color of a washed out sky. I like the effect here and I may have to try it at some point! Lovely composition with the foreground interest of the grass. 3 May 2008 12:23pm @Tracey: Thank you, Tracey. I almost don't mind the bands in the sky caused by compression either.
