As a finale to a Sunday street festival, fearless mountain climbers in red leapt off the bell tower of the Church of Saints Filippo and Giacomo and rappelled down the sides.
The bell tower was built between 1851 and 1858 and can be seen from any point in the Ampezzo Valley. Constructed of dolomia stone, it is 71 meters high (230 feet). The globe at the pinnacle is one meter in diameter and covered with gold leaf. The carillon of its clock reproduces the sound of London's Big Ben.
Original shot : I like it a lot. I've never seen so many climbers on an building.
